These samplers continue to amaze me ... I had not realized the details when I bought the above sampler. When you look at the first picture above, they are just usual patches. But when you look carefully, you'd see that there is another patch inside the patch! And so well placed and sewn following the pattern of the fabric.
The inner patch in this one is more noticeable!
And a darning sampler by the same stitcher, Ms WA or AW!
