Men knitting socks at their leisure after work as an additional income to their family budget. The men of Yenikaraağaç village of Bursa province in north-western Turkey, have been knitting socks since 80 years after migrating to their new home from Thessaloniki, Greece.
One of the elder gentlemen, Mr Yusuf Hilmişen (63), says he knits five pairs a day ... Probaby keeping the doctor away :)
However, somehow they do not look very happy :)
